food-coma!! ive been fed with so much good food and good christmas cookies and pies, i think i must have put on a good 20lbs this past weekend and a half! its sad, given that i already had 20lbs of fat to put off, so now i must shed 40lbs, and another 10lbs just to be on the safe, skinny side.. its fucking depressing.... i could ddr my way into skinniness, but even with that, its still a depressing thought.. such a WHALE!! UGHHHHHH .. man, i am FATTTTTTT

wow, i ate a lot, and wow, i got plenty of presents, its making me sick to the stomach that people spent that much on me and im not even related to them! it somehow seems wrong ... on christmas eve, mike made me good steak and even better mashed potatoes =) it was good .. and since we have already opened our good presents a week earlier, it was no surprise that we only get to open the littler presents.. i got my memory cards for my digicam and a 1gb flash drive (looks really awesome). yesterday we went to his parents house for christmas dinner .. and to give them their presents (as well as to receive ours!) his parents are soo cool! we each got a $50 gift card to ticketmaster (i think we shall go to the blue men group) and a bunch of other gift cards and we got a HUGE collection of boardgames - original scrabble and monopoly, cranium .. etc etc etc ... its madness! hehe

i have come to the conclusion that my kitties (especially oreo) love to tail me around ... oreo has gotten really manja with me and loves to wake me up in the wee hours of the morning, rubbing against my hands and face, its very cute .. i love my kittiessssss .. oh so lovieeeeee

the ups guy who came two days ago bearing a package that he thought was mine, came back yesterday to deliver another package, this time saying he really has a package for me, remembering his blunder the previous day. how sweet ...

am noticing a slight discrepancy in my fedex delivery (actually, discrepancy denotes negativity, this one only has a confused feeling to it, more like, a mystery) the video card i ordered was sposed to get here today. yesterday i received another tracking number saying it will be shipped today and delivered next week. i checked both tracking numbers today - one says its on the van due for delivery today, the other says its on its way here... i wonder if im actually receiving two of them. thatd be interesting (son long i dont get charged twice, anythings interesting)

today yet another day waiting in for more packages. i really should get a life outside of this apartment, its getting a little pathetic and sad. bumming around, while enticing it is to befit my lazy countenance, is not a very exciting one. being lazy makes you fat.

well, two more days to christmas .. hope yours is a good one. mine wont be.

i spent all weekend long and all of the last two days playing with sims2 until i am blue in the face ... armed with my creativity and my PJs, i have sat a total of 50 hours in front of the computer, making houses of all sorts and families of all nature, and have enjoyed not showering until the absolute last minute! its AWFUL (and yet soo fulfilling) i have even enticed mike play for a couple of days straight too, its funny ..

the plan for the today is to somehow get up the energy to leave the house and trod on to the gym, but i am having some doubts that will happen, seeing that i just woke up and it takes me a few hours to actually wake up to be doing exercises .. maybe ill pop in a home exercise video or something, i should invest in something (maybe step aerobics, i used to love those)

got my brand new shuttle along with the most gorgeous 19" flat panel LCD monitor (oh yeah, *drool*) assembled the whole new system yesterday, and am now staring at it lovingly .. *sigh*

stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, ASSININE FUCKING UPS!!!!!! they are such FUCKHOLES and MOTHERFUCKERS, i want to terrorize them and fucking KILL all the GODDAMN INCOMPETENT NINCOMPOOPS THAT WORK THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHH!!

omg, ok so i bought two things: one from sharperimage, the other from dell (mikes xmas present). i thought they were shipping it via fedex, so i had the shipping address go to a fedex hold at location. except, a few days later i found out that they shipped via ups, and fedex will refuse anything ups sends to them (makes sense, why should you accept a hold at location for your competitor). so the packages were both scheduled for delivery on friday. i frantically called thursday, all day, to try and fix this. the first person said that she will put the information on my shipment so that the packages will get sent out to me at the right address. she said someone will call me in an hour to confirm the address. nobody called me in an hour, nobody called me for a while, so i called back, only to my surprise, to find that the address hasnt been changed and it was still going to the wrong place. so then i found out that ups' system cannot take that new shipping address until the packages are AT the local distribution center (aka northbrook, IL) and that while its in transit (on the truck), nothing can be done (stupid system, if you ask me). so i said, fine. i wasnt satisfied with that answer so i tried calling again, hopefully i could speak to someone more knowledgable and who can bypass the system. i get this one guy who tried to do one of the packages, and put me on hold, but HOLY COW - he was dumb enough that he let GO of the damned hold, and so i had to call BACK, and of course, i had NO clue who i spoke to earlier, and had to retell the whole damn story to another girl.

this girl said that there is absolutely and positively NOTHING they can do to the system to reroute the packages, so i have to wait until the next day (delivery day) to call back and tell them (the drivers) where its sposed to go (wtf? isnt that a LITTLE TOO LATE???!!!) but no, she said - thats how the goddamned system work.

ok fine. so i asked when should i call - friday was a long day, i didnt know when they would try to deliver it (by this time, it was 11pm thursday night, my packages were in the distribution center, or on its way, and i was desperate to get them to the right place) she said in the early morning. she said try 7am.

holy fuck. i woke up at 7am, called the 1-800 number, to be told that the package now is at the distribution center, but i cant give them the address because it has to have the "OUT FOR DELIVERY" status on the scan for them to do anything (to reroute it). ok fine - when should i call back? in an hour ...

so i called back in an hour, and was FINALLY able to give them the RIGHT address, and the lady said someone will call back in an hour. someone DID call back in an hour, said that they got the new address and that the packages will be rerouted back to the right address, but it wont go out until monday. FINE, i said.

monday comes. i looked online. lo and fucking behold:

• sharperimage package: went around the WORLD, from northbrook, to the WRONG place (even tho i told them not to go there), got refused (as expected), and is now BACK on its merry way to littler rock, arfuckingsas.
  

• dell package: SOMEHOW, they THOUGHT i wanted this package to be held at the northbrook distribution center and that i personally told them that id pick the package up in five business days (what GIVES???!!!)

oh, jebus.

youve GOT to be FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT???!!

i got on the damned phone. talked to one guy. i must have shouted at him, i was so mad - the poor kid must be like, 18 or sth, and had NO clue what to do (kept repeating that the addresses were wrong, the system got it wrong, hes sorry blah-blah-blah) and said hed call back in an hour.

and then i fucking cried, it was so damned frustrating!!! i mean, i was SOO mad, i cried! it was HORRIBLE.

got back on the phone, got to a lady, told her the same exact story, SHE said she cant do anything about the sharperimage package, id have to call them to ask for a redelivery to the right address. the dell one, can be put back on the van to be shipped to me. ok, that sounds good. now, can i TALK to a supervisor, please? i need to tell him how fucking awful this entire experience was, how fucking LAME the system is, and how incompetent the call centers were and how utterly unreliable the freaking business model is, given the fact that the rep SAID that the new address is in the system and SOMEONE CALLED ME to say that its good to go for monday!

she put me on hold - got another call from ups (the supervisor from the first person is returning my call) - and he said that he is sorry but the sharperimage one is out of his jurisdiction (yeah, ill jurisdick you fact, cunt), and that id have to settle that with sharperimage, and the dell - he can put it out for delivery tomorrow (good - now i dont have to pay for a $100 cab ride to line up and get this damn thing) said thank you politely, got back on the other line with the second person, said im fine now, and thanks anyways.

yet another wonderfully lazy weekend ... well thats not entirely true - yesterday i spent half the day moving my stuff from argyle back to evanston, and then the other half of the day going to the gay men's christmas chorus special. met phils new boyfriend, steven (they make such a cute ass couple), and hung out with old friends that i havent seen in a few years =)

today, we are staying in half the day to watch the bears at the lions, and then go hang out with mikes out-of-town friend (who is in town this weekend). need to get kitty-chow and litter pan some time today (their hard food is all gone, they eat so much of it!) oreo has the darnest appetite-he chowed down on some of my pasta, licked some of my apple pie, and then still meowed for some more food! its really cute.

am very anxious for certain events to happen in my life. but i know i cant think about it now because if i do, it will drive me nuts. i yearn for my house (i want to own one next year), and i yearn to settle this whole employment thing taken care of ... it bloody blows if you think about it - the uncertainties that is hanging over my head right now. but what are ya gonna do but take one day at a time..

the weather has been very gray and depressing lately. i dont remember chicago being this rainy during december. i hope it will snow before christmas (or ON christmas). its weird to not see snow on the ground at this time of the year.

tomorrow is going to be a stay at home all day event and wait for the ups and fedex guys. presents are coming my way. will need to find a way to put these presents up in boxes.

*sigh*
scrap all the plans. no more planning! i wanted a house, no house for me. i wanted a lot of things; none of which will happen.

its weird how it's mid december (or well, just december) and it hasnt snowed properly yet. usually by halloween or thanksgiving, we would get a deluge of one day snow, which would stay on the grounds, and then another big blizzardy fall around mid december. i hope that the snow will come soon because its much better than just rain, and if not, lets just hope that christmas will remain white this year. i love the festivities much more when the weather is appropriate.

choicepoints has started their interrogation of my background. they called here yesterday, speaking to william about me, instead of katrina. weird, if they called iwish and got to that new person who works there, then that person wouldnt be able to attest to my working there with them. i hope that it would be david who answers them. and i hope dorsey would remember to say nice things about me too. ugh. to rely on people can be very overwhelmingly annoying.

what a weekend this has been (and week, too!)

riz was in town, we spent a ton of time, roaming chicago and evanston, and talking and chit chatting, and doing a bunch of sight-seeing, and eating-outs. it was great! i was doing a lot of things this weekend, including looking for subletters for my room. i am glad that i have four interested people .. i think i will be moving next weekend, period. coz i need to get the person moved in by mid december. w00t.

bought mikes xmas present - dell axim x50v, cost me a buncha monay too ... booooo but at least he is happy ...
